10/01/26 – I have been having a wonderful time working with your 4th and 5th graders in math! We will be finishing up our first section tomorrow, and I am so proud of the progress the students have been making.
Throughout this section, we have been working on place value, expanded form, estimating, number lines, and bar graphs. We have also completed two small bar graph projects, which you can ask your child about—they have enjoyed sharing what they have learned!
We will continue to have homework beginning again next week. The homework is intended as practice and should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. If your child has worked for 15 minutes and has not finished, they may stop at that point.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement at home!
8/20/26 – Hello, everyone!
I’m a new Math and OG teacher at PNCS, but I’m also a familiar face! My name is Amy Carpenter, though many of you may know me as Jenny’s mom. I’m so excited to be joining the PNCS team and working with our 4th and 5th graders this year.
I’m looking forward to getting to know your children, supporting their learning, and making this a fun and successful year together.

We had a wonderful first day back at school! It was so much fun getting to know each child a little better. We enjoyed talking about the highlights of our summer break and sharing our favorite memories.
We are excited for the year ahead and are full of energy and ready to learn! We’re looking forward to a fantastic school year together. Welcome back!
