Read Across America Week
We have a special week planned in March with fun activities and theme days! Starting on Dr. Seuss’ birthday (March 2) and running through Friday, March 6, this week celebrates reading with a variety of entertaining activities to keep kids interested. Read Across America week was launched in 1998 by the National Education Association.
PNCS Trivia Night
Join us for a really fun night, Friday, March 21 at 6:30pm! “Through the Decades” Test your trivia knowledge on different themes through history. Teams of up to 8 players, $25 a person

Patriotic Day
We will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of our country this Patriotic Day, Friday, January 30th! We will have an informative whole school program about our country, a delicious all-American lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers and then head to Olympic Health & Swim Club for a fun afternoon at the indoor pool.
PNCS Christmas Program
The students will be performing the musical, “Elfis & the Sleigh Riders” on Friday, December 19 at 7:00pm.
Point Breeze Light Up Night
The Pittsburgh New Church School will have a table with children’s activities at the Point Breeze Light Up Night on Saturday, December 6 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. Please let us know if you would be interested in volunteering at the table to spread the word about our school on this cheery holiday event.
PNCS Harvest Festival
Saturday, November 15 at 5:00pm – Join us for our annual Harvest Festival! We will be serving pulled pork, student-made bread, butter, applesauce and pies. Families are requested to bring the side dishes and be prepared to kick up their heels and cut a rug on the dance floor as Principal Glenn calls the dances.
Dyslexia Simulation
We are holding a dyslexia simulation on Monday, October 13 at 6:00pm. Please join us to see what it feels like to be a student with dyslexia. Participants will undergo challenges in a classroom environment created to replicate how a learner with dyslexia can feel in a regular teaching environment. Open your mind and experience it for yourself!
