Point Breeze Yard Sale
PNCS will be having a bake sale fundraiser for the Point Breeze Yard Sale on Saturday, September 21 from 9:00am – 3:00pm. We will be accepting donations of baked goods on Friday, September 20 to sell. All proceeds go to the Pittsburgh New Church School. Parents who would like to volunteer to help sell the baked goods on Saturday – please call the office at 412-731-0122.
Parent Night
We will be having a Back To School Bingo and Parent Night on Tuesday, September 10 from 7:00 – 9:00pm.
Work Party & Pancake Breakfast
The first parent volunteer activity of the school year! PNCS’s Pancake Breakfast and Work Party is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th from 8 am-1pm. This is a volunteer opportunity for your family to help the school and meet and greet other PNCS families. A work party is when a large group of people get together to do minor work on the building and grounds. There will be jobs for all ages and abilities. Pittsburgh New Church School had a heartwarming graduation program last Wednesday night, celebrating 5 graduating students. Zephyrine Fleenor, Keith Heffernan, Sean Smith, Sheila Smith & Sterling Smith graduated 8th grade to go on to high school. They gave inspiring speeches on their experiences during their time at PNCS. Sheila & Sterling Smith had been at PNCS since PreK! (We no longer include PreK in our curriculum) Some of the students had made tremendous improvement in their reading ability during their time at PNCS, and will be able to go to high school ready for the challenge. PNCS Sunday Worship & Luncheon
Join us on Sunday March 3, at 11:00am as the students of PNCS will be supporting our worship service in a number of different ways, including singing during the interlude and creating the cover art for the worship program. After the service there will be a lunch in the hall downstairs prepared by the students. Everyone is invited. No need to bring anything, just yourself!
