Our annual Harvest Festival dinner will be Saturday, November 7 at 5:00pm. Headlined with a delicious pork roast and accompanied by student-made applesauce, bread and pies, along with potluck side dishes from the students’ families, it will be a feast to remember! Then we put away the tables and open up the floor for some old-fashioned fun – square dancing! Make sure to wear your dancin’ shoes and bring your favorite partner to kick up your heels and dance the night away.
Join us Saturday, October 17 at 3:00pm for the 4th Annual Dyslexia Dash! If you can’t make it to walk the course, you can sponsor a team. There will be music and children’s activities & games. Monday, September 14 at 6:00pm – Join us to meet your student’s teachers and see what they are working on at the beginning of the school year. Students can grab an ice cream from Beedles Ice Cream truck and have fun with their classmates while parents discuss what their students will learn this school year. We look forward to seeing you and talking with you all about your students and how we will make learning fun this year!
Join us for our first parent volunteer event of the school year! Saturday, August 22 from 8:00am – 12:00pm. A delicious pancake breakfast and then help do minor work around the school grounds and building to help get the school ready for the upcoming school year. There will be jobs for all ages and abilities. Meet other PNCS parents and get some volunteer hours towards your requirement. The Pittsburgh New Church School will be hosting a Remake Learning Day Event on Wednesday, May 20 at 6:00pm – 8:00pm. There will be several multisensory stations with activities for children of all ages. Starting on Dr. Seuss’ birthday (March 2) and running through Friday, March 6, this week celebrates reading with a variety of entertaining activities to keep kids interested. Read Across America week was launched in 1998 by the National Education Association.

Families are requested to bring the side dishes and be prepared to kick up their heels and cut a rug on the dance floor as Principal Glenn calls the dances.
We are holding a dyslexia simulation on Monday, October 13 at 6:00pm. Please join us to see what it feels like to be a student with dyslexia. Participants will undergo challenges in a classroom environment created to replicate how a learner with dyslexia can feel in a regular teaching environment. Open your mind and experience it for yourself!
