Erin Cumming
Erin Cumming is the newest addition to our staff, although she has been working in a variety of teaching/tutoring positions over the past twenty years. She has been a summer camp and substitute teacher at PNCS for two years. She will be the 6th – 8th grade homeroom teacher and is teaching language arts & math. Erin graduated from Carlow University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and completed her Reading Specialist Certification in 2012 at the University of Pittsburgh. Erin began her career at Steel Valley School District and has also worked at West Mifflin Area Middle School, North Hills Junior High, and Community College of Allegheny County. Erin grew up in the Pittsburgh area and loves spending time in the neighborhood here at PNCS! Erin has two children, a teenage daughter and a son in first grade, who keep her very actively engaged outside of school. Having a daughter with Dyslexia, Erin is quite familiar with the frustrations and complications that can accompany both students and parents on the journey through public education. Erin is delighted to be a part of the PNCS family and grateful for the opportunity to do such important work with our school population.
